2013 has been quite a year - full of fun projects that I've shared here with you! I wanted to choose my favorite one to recap today. But, choosing just one has been really hard! Would I choose the one that took the most time - my kitchen renovation?
Or, an inexpensive knock-off of a high end product that I adored?
Or, the project that received the most positive feedback?
I finally decided on the one that I like the most - just me! The one thing that still makes me smile and I wouldn't dream of changing - The old door that I turned into a family message center.
Here's the before!
I love that it is functional, yet decorative!
On the chalkboard I can write a note to my family, make a grocery list - or decorate it for the season! Here it is this past fall.
At Christmas
My kids (and my own) car keys don't seem to get misplaced nearly as often! The old caster wheels work perfectly to hold lanyards and key rings.
The mail has a place to hang out until it gets picked up by the proper owner!
The oversized hooks work perfectly to hold my scarves or handbag!
The rusty handle doesn't really have a purpose, other than I think it looks perfect on the door! The door didn't have a handle when I found it, but I came upon this rusty, chippy handle at my favorite salvage shop and it was love at first sight!
This project is one that is here to stay - and that is saying something at my house!
